Restaurants in Riyadh

I am constantly impressed with the wide range of restaurants in Riyadh. We can find pretty much variety of food from anywhere in the world. But there are some minor problems always annoy you.

If you are in a restaurant that administered by Keralites, be careful while you are nearby washbasin. Majority of the customers coming to these restaurants will not manage good manners as they rush to the washbasin by ignoring the person ahead of them. Secondly, you can notice someone behind your seat if you are having a newspaper and without any intimation he grabs a sheet from that newspaper. Hissing is a common way of attracting the attention of waiters in these restaurants.

Imagine you are in a restaurant where all waiters has bad manner to the customer.  Just visit a Tamil restaurant, but don’t forget to learn some immoral bad words before entering Tamil restaurants. It is very useful to interact with the waiters over there. They will be very noisy and will not hesitate to interact with the customer in maximum lowest level of human behavior. This morning I witnessed even a waiter was trying to handle a customer physically. DON’T EXPECT ANY TYPE OF GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE from Tamil restaurants. This incident is the motivation of this article.

If you are seeing there is one tea serving to two guys, assume that you are in a Hyderabad restaurant. One order can be divided for two persons. Good support for Hyderabad job seekers and you will not find any Hyderabad waiters over there. Most of the waiters are from Bangladesh. If you order a chicken / mutton curry, you receive two mutton / chicken cubes in a full mug of curry. I mean to say that the quantity of meat or main content of curry will be very less compare to the price they charge.

Where waiters clear away plates even though one diner in the group might still be eating or you take couple of minutes of rest with inactivity in front of the food, don’t worry…you are in a Chinese or Arabic or continental food serving hotel.

Before start serving your food, you got the bill...don’t worry….you are in a Lebanese or afghani restaurants or any fast food outlet. They don’t trust you and want to make sure whether you are having enough money in your wallet or not.

Economy meal (it is not economy at all considering the food) with one Pepsi or one water free, you are in a Filipino restaurant. RIBS will be the daily special.

The waiter grabs your fingers and cleans it with a napkin and provides you water in bowl with lemon; you are in a north Indian star restaurant and wait for the bill……

These observations are just mine and it doesn’t mean that any of the communities are entirely behaving in the way as mentioned above.
